On Saturday, July 26, 2025, the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) etched a glorious chapter in its golden jubilee celebration as it held its 50th Anniversary and 35th Convocation Ceremony an event marked by academic brilliance, deep nostalgia, and profound recognition.
Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji was honoured for his selfless service to humanity through the Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji Foundation (DREMOF) with a Human Capital Development Award. This recognition didn’t just celebrate a man but it celebrated a movement, a mission, a mantle of purpose, restoration of hope and nation building for sustainable future.
Founded by Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji, a medical doctor, Chairman/CEO Princess Medical Centre turned business magnate, The DREMOF was born out of a deep conviction to transform the lives of the underserved across Nigeria, particularly within the Niger Delta. From healthcare interventions and medical outreaches to scholarships, infrastructural development and environmental initiatives. DREMOF has made lasting impressions where many only make promises. A shining example of this impact was the formal handover of a fully equipped state-of-the-art computer center with offices to UNIPORT on December 17, 2024, an infrastructural gift aimed at enriching learning and fostering innovation among students.
As the medical partners to the foundation, Princess Medical Centre is proud to be part of this movement.
