DR. EMI MEMBERE-OTAJI – OON, NPoM, DSSRS
CHAIRMAN
DR. EMI MEMBERE-OTAJI, born on 10th June
1958, is the founder of Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji Foundation and Chairman/CEO of
Elshcon Group of companies with interest in Oil & Gas, Shipping and Healthcare. He is a medical doctor turned entrepreneur. A graduate of University of Lagos, Medical School, Nigeria with certificates from Lagos Business School and MCDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA. Recipient of
Honorary Fellowship Award from the Rivers State College of Health Science & Technology. Among others, he is a Fellow and recipient of
the “Award of Excellence” of the Nigeria Institute of Management and Award of Excellence from the Nigerian Association of Chamber of
Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture (NACCIMA). “Award of Role of Honor” from the Nigerian Medical Association and Distinguished
Medical Practitioner of Nigeria (DMP), Awardee of the Association of Nigerian Private Medical Practitioners (ANPMP) and Honoured with the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPoM) Award, for high performance, hard work and excellence and Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), by the President Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He is the National Vice President – Nigerian Association of Chamber of
Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture (NACCIMA), Elected Council
Member – Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Chairman – Marine Trade Group PETAN and Member – Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN), Founding Member of Ship Owners Association of Nigeria (SOAN), Trustee – Shipyards and Shipbuilders Association of Nigeria (SSAN) and Trustee – Marine Equipment Owners Association (MEOLAN). Member – Board of Directors of Oil & Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA), Director – ECOWAS Regional Sealink Project Company and Governing Board Member of the Nigerian Chamber of Shipping (NCS), among others.
He is a one-time Chairman of West African Glass Industry Plc, a former Director of Pabod Breweries Limited. He was a former Commissioner for Health, a former Special Adviser to the Rivers State Government on Investments & Privatization, and also a former Chairman, Board of Directors of Clearline International Limited (Health Management Organization). Also, a former Governing Board Member, University of Port Harcourt Business School, former Member of the National Economic Council Committee on Export Promotion and a Past President of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture (PHCCIMA).
Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji is an Event Speaker on various aspects of the economy (Leadership, Management, Shipping, Healthcare and also a Life Coach).
Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International and also a Patron Moriri Gallery of Contemporary Art.
He is a Justice of Peace (JP) and has the traditional title of Dein Piribo 2 of Kalabari Ijaw.
MR. MATTHEW AMEDE OSSAI
DEPUTY CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Matthew Ossai Amede is the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the hospital. He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree of the University of Benin, Benin City obtained in 1992 and a first-class Bachelor of Arts (B.A) Education Degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, IIe-Ife in 1985.
He has over 28 years working experience in the area of Administration, Human Resources Management and Business Development. Before joining the services of Princess Medi-Clinics Mr. Ossai worked with the Delmar Group Ltd as Group Head Administration and Business Development. Delmar Group has Delmar Petroleum Co. Ltd., Delta Marine Shipping Co. Ltd and Delmar Farm Ltd as members.
For more than twelve years, he was involved in the importation and marketing of petroleum products domiciled with Delmar Petroleum with her 20 million capacity tank farm in Port Harcourt as well as managing the fleet of vessels owned by Delta Marine Shipping Company Ltd.
Mr. Matthew Ossai with his vast experience, charisma, and exceptional leadership skills was appointed the Chairman, Health and Pharmaceutical Trade Group of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture and now the Executive Supervisor, Health and Pharmaceuticals Trade Group. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of personnel Management (CIPM)
DR. LAZARUS AMEH
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Lazarus Ameh is a dedicated Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with very strong devotion to the specialty. He is personable, great listener, and empathetic to the concern of his patients.
Dr. Ameh was the Chief Resident of Obstetrics and Gynaecology department during his training at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital. Before joining the services of Princess Medical Centre, he worked with Abuja Clinic, Maitama, FCT.
A Fellow of the West African College of Physicians, Dr. Ameh is a graduate of Amadu Bello University Medical School’s class of 2008. He also holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MiAD). He presently serves as Medical Director of the hospital.
Dr. Lazarus Ameh is endowed with the attitude, passion and energy needed for the position, which had made him the PEOPLE’S DOCTOR.
MR. AMOS O. AGBONTAEN
ASST. HEAD, CORPORATE SERVICES
Mr. Amos O. Agbontaen holds Masters of Industrial and Labour degree, University of Ibadan, Ibadan and Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology of the University of Benin, Benin City.
He has over 25 years work experience in Nigeria and overseas in Office Administration, Human Resources Management System, Community Relations and Development, Government/Industrial Relations, Industrial Safety and related matters. He was seconded to Princess Medical Centre as Head, Management Services from Elshcon Group of Companies, where he served as Human Resources/Administration Manager in Port Harcourt.
Overtime, the relative experience and skills in these areas has in large part prepared him to provide leadership in managing people and strategies to deliver solutions.
MR. CHINEDU ISAIAH OKONYIA
HEAD, ACCOUNT AND FINANCE DIRECTORATE
Mr. Chinedu Isaiah Okonyia holds Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting, Delta State University, Abraka and National diploma in Accountancy from Federal Polytechnic Auchi.
He is an Associate Member of the Institute of chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN). An Associate Member of Nigeria institute of Management (NIM).
He has over 10 years work experience in finance, Accounting and Risk Management. Prior to Mr. Okonyia joining the services of Princess Medical Centre. He held a position of Senior Accountant in Preswin Nig. limited and internal Auditor at St. Luke’s hospital, all in Asaba Delta State.
The above background has shaped his perspective on business and has greatly influenced his approach in delivering financial solutions.
